Instacities – guess what city it is

March 11, 2011 by Florian Beer·0 Comments

instaciti.esOliver just released a new browser game called Instacities that lets you guess what city is displayed, based on photos taken via Instagram.

Beware: It’s a highly addictive game 🙂

There are plans to have a highscore table and deeper Facebook integration in the future, so be sure to check back often and follow Oliver on Twitter to stay up to date.

GPS::Tron

February 15, 2006 by Florian Beer·2 Comments

Take a look (and maybe even contribute) at a project of some of my colleagues at uni. It is called GPS::Tron and is an adaption of the well known computer game Tron in a sort of augmented reality context.

GPS::Tron is a Java J2ME Application which uses a cellphone’s GPS transceiver to locate the device. Read more about how it works and what it is on their homepage.
