Facebook iPhone Dev Quits Project Over Apple Tyranny What a shame! Joe Hewitt was a very skilled iPhone developer and it’s a pity to see him move back to the web because of Apple’s App Store policies. My decision to stop iPhone development has had everything to do with Apple’s policies. I respect their right

I use the really great macFUSE to mount several server directories via SSH on my work computer. One programm that makes this process really easy is Macfusion which offers a menu item and a standalone application to configure your mountpoints and mount/unmount them. After upgrading to Snow Leopard recently Macfusion & macFUSE stopped working, so

Finally! Colloquy, my IRC client of choice for Mac OS X came out as a mobile version for the iPhone. For a mere 1,59€ (in the Austrian App Store) you’ll get a full featured, slick IRC client on your handheld device. via First Look: Mobile Colloquy – The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW).

Either I’ve never recognized it before, or Apple published this new feature with their latest OS X update. There is now a Media category in the standard OS file chooser that lets you choose movies, pictures and music, pulling it straight from the respective iApp’s library (iTunes, iPhoto etc.). I think this is a really helpful addition.

Ed had a neat modification done to his (originally) white MacBook which should make this computer quite unique. Click on the images to see more! (Sorry for the bad picture quality, blame it on my cellphone.)

As every project needs a kick-off… here it is. There is a great tool called iSync Plug-In Maker (it’s included in the Apple Developer Tools) Apple already has

Today while playing around with the new Apple Mail’s IMAP IDLE feature (which still doesn’t quit work I think) I discovered an interesting bit in the Preferences window. Apparently Google succeeded in placing a link to it’s own help page into the Accounts settings in Leopard’s Mail.app. If this is placed there by Apple or

Still does not work. What do you do after you enter the commands in Terminal?
Do you enter them together or hit return and enter the other command seperately? Suggestions? Thanks.

Those are two commands. Press Enter after each of them!

Doesn’t for me eigther he says:
‘Warning: Incompatible bundles, Mail has the following installed bundles disabled: GrowlMail’.
What is wrong?

There is currently no official GrowlMail bundle. This fix is unofficial and was very likely to break with the next update, which apparently happened.
I myself have disabled the bundle at the moment as well. I guess we’ll just have to wait for the next Leopard compatible release!
